ما يحدث في غزة يفوق قدرة العقل البشري على التخيل . ما يحدث في غزة تجاوز ما يمكن أن يوصف بانتهاك للإنسانية، أو خرق للقوانين الدولية. تجاوز حد الخوف إذا ماكان الخوف شعورا يشل القدمين، ويجلط القلب. تجاوز حد الصراخ، إنه الصوت الذي لا يمكن سماعه. تجاوز حد الصورة إذا ما كانت الصور قصصا تروي، حد الدمار إذا كان الدمار صاروخا يهد مبنى، تجاوز حد الموت إذا ما كان الموت تجسيد . تجاوز حد الخيال إذا ما كان الخيال فضاء أسود. ما يحدث في غزة فوق ما يحكى بأنه اجتثاث لكل معنى للحياة، قد تكون قيامة أحدثها شيطان ملعون أشعل جهنم ودب فيها مدينة واحدة. مدينة عصية بأن تحرق، فأطلق عليها كل الشياطين تعيث فسادا وتحرق الأحياء والأموات. ما يحدث في غزة تجاوز حد الشيطان نفسه إذا ما الشيطان نارا. حتى غزة تجاوزت أن تكون غزة هذه المرة…..

What happens in Gaza is not a picture of war to be kept in a photo frame, for it transcends, beyond. What happens in Gaza is the bombings of buildings and the subtle sound when cries turn into a silence of death. What happens in Gaza exceeds death, a black space, that cuts across the human imagination. What happens in Gaza goes beyond all that has been said about the meaning of life and death. It is as if Satan himself ignited a hell into which he threw only one city. A defenseless city left behind by the world. What happens in Gaza… even Gaza has gone beyond being Gaza this time.
